While the thematic of economics and the world of finance are not the most interesting topic as the basis of a history, WEE make it really worth of reading, so 100% recommende.. Beautiful. Just beautiful. I have not seen such an inteligent way of telling a story with characters so rich in humanity. To put pride, greed, fear, jealousy in the characters and at the same time justify these emotions as "just human", is out of pure genius. 10/10.. Great conclusion to the trilogy albeit a bit short. Maybe I just learnt to read really fast after waiting for this to come out.. The longest, and best of the trilogy. Is largely a retelling of the 2008 housing bubble, but on the moon. There's lots of dense reading, and no voice acting. Regardless, it's one of the best visual novels I've read. Learned a lot about finance along the way.I can kind of see why they took so long to translate and edit this. The financial explanations are so dense and complicated.. Very good story, and a very good series. Recommended for people who like details, and learning about things . The writer, Isuna Hasekura, is basically a Japanese analogue to the fiction writer Neal Stephenson. (Author of Cryptonomicon, Interface, Baroque Cycle trilogy, among others)While the prose style is very different, to suit VN/LNs, the feel and concept of transposing real world systems into speculative fiction for the purpose of telling a detailed and well-researched story is very similar.. The triumphant conclusion to one of the best stories I've ever read. World End Economica is a series of economic simulations that focus on the part that such often leave out: the people, and the hopes and the dreams that are abstracted out in the numbers. Even if economics, finance, and math aren't your thing, World End Economica makes things like Stock Markets and Financial Crises very accessible through this focus. The characters are engaging, sometimes loveable, and sometimes infuriating but also full of surprises. They are easy to grow attached to for good or bad. The mood music is spot on, and some of the artwork is breathtaking, both visually and emotionally. As education, as literature, as art, World End Economica is an amazing product.. Length : About 15 hours.Last episode of the serie. Haru became Hal again and one of the musics has a loop issue. Besides that, it's good.Story-wise, hem... in episode 2, Hagana was replaced by Chris and later, Chris was replaced by Eleanor. And now in this episode 3, Eleanor has been replaced by... Marco. It's a kinetic novel so you can't choose your heroine. But Marco wasn't bad. Dayum the cute boys. Now that I finished reading the three episodes, well, what can I say ? There's an obvious parallel between the story progression and the stocks movements : it goes up, then down, then up, then down and so on. The story ends up on an "Up" so no bad end, if you were worried. "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" as they say. It's scary how a movie brought about the end of the world. I still feel like the trip outside the city in episode 2 was the best scene of the trilogy. The banter was well paced and well witten and it really felt like the story was on the Moon for the first time.Eleanor had a lot of impact and I liked her the most for her quick-wits but objectively, Chris was the best heroine of the three and her last scene was very powerful. But, also objectively speaking, Chris' insertion and role in the time lapse between Episode 1 and 2 felt odd and forced. Hagana barely qualifies just because of her screentime. If that was a classic VN with choices, I certainly wouldn't have gone the Hagana route first.I would totally have chosen Marco and crossdressed the crap out of him. I would have liked a Barton side story. All in all, I enjoyed the ride but I'm still none the wiser regarding short selling, options, margin buying and whatnot despite all the explanations.Do I recommend it ? Yes. On discount, as always, because buying for cheap is the rule of the stock market.. The third part doesnt dissapoint!!. 3rd episode really didn't deliver as I thought, this episode spends a lot more time delving into economic theory than the others and it's very easy to get bored of reading it when the game knows you're REALLY waiting to see what the characters are doing. If you got this far to episode 3, it's nice to have loose ends wrapped up but as a complete VN, this definitely hurts the experience. Don't think anything gets as emotional as the highs presented in Episode 1 and it only goes downhill from there. If you got this far, might as well buy it but it's definitely the worst out of the trio.
